Artistic Director
Anna was born and grew up in Bologna, Italy. She studied singing and choir conducting in Milan, specialising in Gregorian Chant. In 1993 she created the Ensemble Weltgesang, a vocal group focused on medieval sacred music. She led them in countless concerts in Italy and in Europe, and in recordings and broadcasting (RAI). In 2004 Anna left Italy to teach music in Germany and England; she then made her home in South Wales, and in 2015 she founded The Fountain Singers, a vocal group focused on early music, which she has led in several concerts. Anna is now dedicating herself to the promotion and performance of early music, working with several groups in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. She is the director of Early Voices, the newly created Early Music Festival in Llantwit Major.
